As promised, the website's major overhaul has resulted in the following changes:
- No slash or adult themed stories. I know this decision will cost FFW some very talented writers, but the decision to no longer host them is final.
- Ratings: No stories rated R or higher. Why? Well, certain 'R' rated stories are actually 'NC-17'. So not to cause any confusion, writers, if your story has a sex or graphic violent scene, make sure the scene is written 'off camera'. In other words, the scene cannot contain graphic or explicit descriptions of sexual or violent encounters of ANY kind. By doing this simple request, the story in question is rated PG-13. Questions or concerns? Just ask!!
- Registering: Registering for an account is no longer necessary unless you are a writer or someone who wishes to review a story. Readers are no longer required to register for an account in order to read the stories archived.
- Reviewing Stories: Everyone is welcome to review any story archived on Fan Fiction Writers. However, you must become a member before doing so. It's very simple, just register and then let our writers know how much you enjoyed reading their stories. It only takes a moment to let the writer know their hard work is appreciated. Trust me, a few simple words of encouragement goes a long way towards a writer's psyche.

Several years later, the archive morphed into what we are today.
